Dracula: Origin Hints

Where can I find the secret entrance to the lair?

  • 1 of 13: There's a small note found in Lady Godalming's bedroom that will provide you with the answer here.
  • 2 of 13: It's just to the left of the door, in a brown envelope, propped up against the skirting board at the bottom of the wall.
  • 3 of 13: It says that she saw Dracula pull one of the torches and escape into the wall, and after that, he was in his lair.
  • 4 of 13: This means that a secret entrance to the lair definitely does exist, and that you need to (in classic horror movie fashion) pull on one of the torches on the walls on the first floor to find the entrance.
  • 5 of 13: All that remains is for you to explore the staircase and the top floor to find a torch or candelabra on the wall that can be interacted with.
  • 6 of 13: The correct location is on the small landing between the ground and first floors.
  • 7 of 13: Van Helsing remarks that the candelabra is loose. Let's find a way to pull it. You can't use your bare hands; you will need to find a tool.
  • 8 of 13: Did you see a room containing lots of tools on the way up here?
  • 9 of 13: It was the cellar, where you first entered!
  • 10 of 13: There is a pair of pliers on the floor there.
  • 11 of 13: Grab them, and take them back upstairs.
  • 12 of 13: Use them on the candelabra, and the thing will fall to the ground.
  • 13 of 13: You can now see four small slits in the wall. They are the key to getting inside.
