Dracula: The Last Sanctuary Hints
What should I do at the panel with a series of shapes?
of 20: You need to explore the castle until you find something else with similar shapes.
of 20: Head to the end of the room just above the staircase and look there.
of 20: There's a "secret" compartment that you can open inside the desk, on the left side.
of 20: But you need to force it open.
of 20: Use the crowbar on the drawer, and you'll see a scroll inside. Unroll it to see some of those same symbols.
of 20: Also note the Roman numerals all over the scroll.
of 20: You need to find some way of associating the shapes with the numbers.
of 20: Something you have in your inventory may do the trick.
of 20: You can put the paper that Dorko translated for you on the scroll.
of 20: Use it on any of the shapes on the scroll, and notice the holes in the paper.
of 20: If a Roman numeral shows up, that means you should press the button on the panel in the order corresponding to the numeral (e.g., "I" means press that shape first).
of 20: Also notice that the paper is double-sided.
of 20: So you can go into your inventory and flip it over. Then, the next time you use it on the scroll, the paper will be placed in the same direction.
of 20: Note that you absolutely must go through all of these steps above for yourself in the game. (If you're loading a saved game, you must have saved after doing these steps, or else you'll have to repeat them.) You won't be able to unlock the panel until the game knows that you've done everything you're "supposed to" first.
of 20: If you use the paper on all 8 of the shapes and with both sides up, you'll see one shape match to each of the numerals I-IV. Read ahead if you need to know which ones those are.
of 20: I: the cube (to the "east" if you think of the 8 shapes as being on a compass with north pointing up)
of 20: II: the icosahedron (the 20-sided figure to the north)
of 20: III: the indented shape to the south
of 20: IV: the spiked shape to the southeast.
of 20: Press the buttons in this order, and you'll reveal a cross. Take it.
