How do I open the box that's outside?

  • 1 of 10: You'll need to wait until you have something to remove the lock.  You should first go inside and solve as many of the puzzles as you can.
  • 2 of 10: Wait until you're able to get through the boarded-up door on the first floor.
  • 3 of 10: Then, look toward the boxes that will be on your right as you're going through that door.
  • 4 of 10: Move the boxes to reveal a bolt cutter.
  • 5 of 10: Use that on the lock to "unlock" it.
  • 6 of 10: That still isn't enough, though -- maybe the hinges are stuck.
  • 7 of 10: Some oil might help you here.
  • 8 of 10: There's a can of oil on the ground near a tree, which is to the right of the house as you're facing it.
  • 9 of 10: Once you oil the hinges, you can open the box.
