Dracula: The Last Sanctuary Hints
What am I supposed to do in the asylum this time?
of 13: Before he died, Seward told you that he was building an anti-vampire device. He also gave you the key to his laboratory.
of 13: The "laboratory" is in the storage room in basement. It's really nothing more than a closet behind the set of double doors in that room. Use the key to unlock those doors, of course.
of 13: If you read the note Seward left above the table in the lab, you'll find that he had most of the parts. He was just missing one part.
of 13: You'll also find that once you put the parts in place, you'll need to set a few dials on those parts. It might be a good idea to figure out what those settings are before you actually put the parts in the box, even if you can't actually see the dials now.
of 13: Now, the parts need to be put in the box in a fairly specific order. You can probably find it by trial and error -- start putting parts in, and if you find that you have parts left over, take some of them out and try again. If you'd rather I tell you, read ahead for the answers.
of 13: Start by putting the U-shaped piece in the top of the box.
of 13: Look at the dial in the middle of the U and turn it to 8. (Click on the left or right side of the close-up screen for "+" and "-" cursors.)
of 13: Next, put in the white cylinder with a rod sticking out of it -- it looks something like a screwdriver.
of 13: Look at the bottom of the cylinder, and on the close-up, move the cursor up or down for "+" and "-" options. Set this device to 4.
of 13: Now put the white box (ammeter) below the left end of the U and put the wire coil at the bottom of the box.
of 13: You can adjust the coil by looking underneath the ammeter but above the coils. Move to the left or right side of the coils for "+" and "-" cursors and adjust the coils until the ammeter reads 7.
of 13: Finally, you need to add the vampire "antenna" to the box.
of 13: Take the existing antenna off the U-shaped piece at the top and replace it with the tuning fork. You can now close the box and then take the handle on the right side of the box and finally the box itself.
