How can I figure out what order to set the colors in?
1 of 8: Mentally number the color settings on the lock left-to-right 1 to 6.
2 of 8: Changing the settings around randomly will reveal the following connections.
1 & 6 2 & 5 3 & 4 4 5 & 3 6 & 2
3 of 8: Notice that setting 4 is the only one that you can change without affecting any other settings.
4 of 8: That means setting 4 is the last one you'll want to set to the correct color.
5 of 8: To figure out which one you want to do next to last, see which setting will mess up setting 4 when it's moved.
6 of 8: That's setting 3, so you'll want to do it next to last, and then do 4 last.
7 of 8: Keep "moving backward" like that until you know what order to set the colors in.
8 of 8: You'll end up finding that you need to set 1 first, then 6, then 2, then 5, then 3, and then 4.
