Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening Hints
Should I import a character or create a new one?
1 of 4: You should definitely import a character that you played through the main Dragon Age: Origins game with if you can. New characters start at level 18 with very little equipment and money, but imported characters can be higher-level and with lots more equipment and money.
2 of 4: If you saved your game right before going onto Fort Drakon's rooftop to fight the archdemon, load that save and return to the fort's main floor so you can do merchant business with Sandal.
3 of 4: Unequip everything that your three companions have on, then sell what you don't want to keep to Sandal. When you're done, quicksave.
4 of 4: Start a new game and import that character. He'll have all of the money and items that he had in the quicksave, giving him a *huge* starting advantage.
