Retreat to the Entrance Strategy
1 of 5: Start off by running everyone back SW and into the little entry niche area. If you cram everyone in there, only one tentacle at a time will be able to get close enough to whack you.
2 of 5: Use Tower of Flame on the first tentacle, then quickly attack it until it dies. (Note that anyone stuck to where he can't melee-attack the tentacle needs to switch to a ranged weapon.)
3 of 5: Another tentacle will take its place, so start attacking it next. Use your mage's area-of-effect spells (Blood Wound is especially good) to damage approaching childer grubs and the tentacles who are waiting in line.
4 of 5: After the tentacles are all dead, wait for childers to come to you a few at a time, then move NE and use Tower of Trauma plus area-of-effect spells to wipe out the rest of the grubs and get started on the Mother.
5 of 5: Use Architect's Pyre on her, then stay back and use only ranged attacks so her tentacle arms can't hurt you.
