Search Kristoff's room for clues.
1 of 3: Go up the stairs to the left of the bar and optionally talk to Sorcha about Kristoff, then find the locked door that's a bit east of her.
2 of 3: Open the door and search the room to find two chests (one locked), a codex-giving book, and a big map on the wall.
3 of 3: Examining the map will determine that Kristoff must be in the Blackmarsh area.
