How can I kill this massive dragon?
1 of 6: When the dragon appears, it'll probably get distracted by all the darkspawn and childers that are fighting in the courtyard.
2 of 6: That's the perfect time to hit the dragon with area-of-effect spells and other ranged attacks. (Also, equip fire-resistant items and use warmth balms.)
3 of 6: Even with the dragon weakened when he turns his attention to you, it'll be very tough to to kill.
4 of 6: Split up so its fire spit can't hurt more than one person at once, and get your best warrior to distract the dragon while others hit it with ranged attacks and freezing spells (and heal the warrior).
5 of 6: The dragon is confined to the courtyard, and it is possible to leave it behind by running all the way back to the large darkspawn area that had the armored ogre in it. However, the dragon would be able to hit you with fire spit the whole way, and you probably wouldn't get everyone there alive.
6 of 6: If you're able to get Greater Warmth Balms for everyone to use (note that Yuriah in the keep sells them), you could park your party a short ways back from the courtyard entrance and hit the dragon with ranged attacks from there, including spells like Tempest and Blizzard. The only thing the dragon could hit you with is its fire spit, and it'll do very little damage per hit. The dragon will also occasionally pull one of your characters over to it (probably your mage), in which case you should run him back to the group ASAP.
