Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening Hints
Amaranthine Tour
of 14: Look east of where you start for a crate in a small house, then go up the north path until a shady character with an exclamation mark over his head talks to you and runs off.
of 14: Follow him west, then look to the south to find two chests (one locked) next to a house. Look in the field to the east of that house to find a "Homer's Toys" box to loot.
of 14: The shady character gives one of the city's more involved optional quests (namely "Smuggler's Run"), which is best done after the tour is over, so skip him for now and examine the interactive tree to get a conversation with Anders.
of 14: Skip talking to Colbert for now (he's main-quest related), and go north to get a brief conversation with the guards at the main gate.
of 14: Use the nearby east door that leads to the battlements, then loot the chest that's up there.
of 14: Go back down to the ground and enter the main city area to the north.
of 14: Go west and check the store inventories of Glassric the Weaponsmith and Octham the Grocer, then go north to finish the "The Howe Family" companion quest (provided Nathaniel is with you).
of 14: Loot the locked chest in the west alley, then talk to Master Henley to see his store inventory.
of 14: Check for a wooden crate in the next west alley, then talk to Kendrick and get the four available quests from the Merchants' Guild Board next to him.
of 14: Finish the easy "Keep Out of Reach of Children" quest, then go back up the stairs north of the job board and look near where you found one of the poison bottles for two chests (one locked).
of 14: Go east from there to find Namaya. Talk to her to get the "Freedom for Anders" companion quest, then go south and enter the Crown and Lion inn.
of 14: Raid the locked chest that's next to the stairs west of the chantry to finish the tour, then check the City of Amaranthine Optional Quests and the Vigil's Keep Optional Quests to see how many you can finish now. (And don't forget Anders' companion quest.)
