After you finish the dwarf treaty quests in Part 3 of the game, talk to Shale at the party camp. Get any other pending conversations out of the way, then tell Shale about Caridin and the Anvil of the Void. (NOTE: If you sided with Paragon Branka against Caridin, you'll have to persuade Shale to give you this quest.)
