2 of 3: Talk to the nearby officer to get the "army picker" display to pop up, then choose to deploy an army in the area to help you.
3 of 3: Assist your chosen army in killing the huge ogre alpha that comes through the gates first, then get to work on the rest of the invading darkspawn.
