Dragon Age: Origins Hints
What are some possibilities?
1 of 6: Combat is one obvious way.
2 of 6: In dialogue with the guards, either choose to attack the guards, or lie and say you have a message for the seneschal. You'll be locked in the side room, and won't be able to leave until the combat is over. After it is, take the crown from the seneschal's body.
3 of 6: If you have a very stealthy character, he may be able to sneak in and pickpocket the seneschal unnoticed.
4 of 6: If you pass a couple of intimidate checks with the guards, they'll let you speak to the seneschal. You can then attack him or intimidate him into handing over the crown. (Note that the attack option may not work due to a glitch. If it does work, the guards will attack, too.)
5 of 6: You can talk to one of the waitresses and lie about the guards wanting drinks. You can then try to poison the drinks or pay 5 gold to buy some really potent ones. If you succeed, you can walk right in and take the crown.
6 of 6: You can also tell a waitress that Loghain's men need to be pampered. If you pay her or pass a persuade check, the guards will be very distracted, and you may be able to enter the room and pickpocket the seneschal without being attacked.
