Dragon Age: Origins Hints
How can I win this fight?
of 8: As soon as it starts, run your party all the way back to the cell area with the dungeon entrance in it. Hopefully, only Ser Cauthrien will be able to follow you all the way there.
of 8: She's got a ton of hit points and can deal out massive damage with her greatsword, but you should be able to finish her off if you keep yourselves healed up and use all your best talents and spells on her.
of 8: Loot her to get her unique magic greatsword, then quicksave after standing and healing.
of 8: Go to the dining room that's east of the front room and park your party to the left of the west door.
of 8: Send one character to the front room's doorway to see if you can lure any enemies into the dining room.
of 8: It can be fairly tough to do so, since all of the remaining enemies have ranged attacks, and are therefore more reluctant to chase you. However, you should be able to get them into the dining room a few at a time with a bit of effort.
of 8: Or better yet, have a mage hide next to the front room's doorway and repeatedly cast long-lasting area-of-effect spells like Tempest and Blizzard into the room. (See the Tempest Tip.)
of 8: Anytime you want to stand and heal or quicksave, run everyone back to the room with the dungeon entrance. Doing this may also help draw enemies out of the front room.
