Dragon Age: Origins Hints

Wynne's Regret

  • 1 of 16: There's a whole lot you have to do before you can get this quest, starting with finishing the Mage Treaty Quests.
  • 2 of 16: Get Wynne's approval rating up to 26+, then talk to her in your party camp until you get the "Are you feeling better now?" dialogue option.
  • 3 of 16: After you use it, travel around on the world map with Wynne in your party until you get an encounter on a hillside path where a bunch of darkspawn ambush you.
  • 4 of 16: Kill them all off, then have your rogue find and disable a few traps. Look around the area for a broken crate, a human corpse, a deathroot plant, and two elfroot plants.
  • 5 of 16: Approach the world map transition point to get a cut-scene in which Wynne passes out briefly.
  • 6 of 16: Return to your party camp and talk to Wynne about what happened, then travel with her some more until you get another darkspawn ambush encounter.
  • 7 of 16: It'll start with a cut-scene in which a special darkspawn omega zaps your party, and Wynne brings them back after gaining the Vessel of the Spirit ability.
  • 8 of 16: After the cut-scene is over, immediately start attacking the darkspawn omega, since it's the biggest threat on the field.
  • 9 of 16: After it's down, finish off the other nearby darkspawn, then bash your way through a barricade to find several more.
  • 10 of 16: When they're all dealt with, search the area for an elfroot and two deathroot plants before leaving.
  • 11 of 16: Talk to Wynne about all the new conversation topics she has to finally get this quest and its "Help Wynne find closure" objective.
  • 12 of 16: NOTE: If you haven't done anything on the Dalish Treaty Quest yet, you'll have to work on it for awhile now.
  • 13 of 16: In the Dalish camp, talk to Sarel and ask about Aneirin.
  • 14 of 16: Go to the East Brecilian Forest area and find Aneirin just north of the mad hermit's camp.
  • 15 of 16: Talk to him to get an amulet called Aneirin's Token, which gives a +10% resistance to electrical, nature, and spirit damage.
  • 16 of 16: NOTE: From now on, you can ask Aneirin to tend to your wounds, which can be helpful if you haven't finished clearing out the East Brecilian Forest area of hostiles yet.
