Codex XP Tip
1 of 2: Before you read the books and scrolls in the shop, buy the Archivist's Sash from the tranquil proprietor and equip it on your main character. That'll get you 75 XP per codex item instead of the usual 50 XP.
2 of 2: Keep the sash with you and remember to equip it right before reading any codex-giving item. This is especially effective if you put off reading all codex-giving items (starting in Lothering) until after you get the sash.
