Dragon Age: Origins Hints
A Poisonous Proposition
1 of 6: Find Barlin inside the Dane's Refuge tavern a short distance NE of the river bridge and talk to him until you get this quest. If you don't have anyone with you who has the Poison-Making skill, he won't give you the quest. (NOTE: This entire quest is all stuck in under the one objective of "Create a poison for Barlin," so these hints won't have an objective list.)
2 of 6: See the Crafting section of the game manual if you need to know how to bring up the crafting screen.
3 of 6: If you don't have anyone else with the Poison-Making skill, have Leliana make three venom poisons.
4 of 6: TIP: There are several giant spiders in the area a ways NE of the tavern that you can get toxin extracts from, which are used in making venom poisons.
5 of 6: If you can't or don't want to make venom, you don't have to -- you can hand over venom that you've looted from containers or dead enemies.
6 of 6: When you give Barlin three venoms, he'll give you 75 silver (which is way more than the venoms are worth).
