Dragon Age: Origins Hints
Activate the golem.
1 of 4: Go back to where you entered the cellar, then leave it and approach the golem again.
2 of 4: Right-click on the golem and speak the new command words to activate it.
3 of 4: After you have a conversation with it (in which you can lose approval with it and other companions if you're not careful), it'll join you as a follower.
4 of 4: NOTE: To leave the village, run back through it until Shale stomps on a chicken, after which you'll have world map access.
