The Templar's Nightmare

  • 1 of 13: In the starting room, read the codex-giving book that's on a bookshelf, then go through the mouse hole near it to trigger a trap in an arcane horror's room.
  • 2 of 13: Quickly return back through the mouse hole and change to burning man form, then hit the arcane horror with a fireball when he runs into the starting room after you. Switch to spirit form and hit him with Crushing Prison to finish him off. (Or just slash him with your powerful spirit claws.)
  • 3 of 13: Use burning man form to fireball the sloth demons in the curvy hallway's first left-side room, then read the books on a shelf in that room for a codex entry.
  • 4 of 13: Use the mouse hole to get to a room with a blight wolf and an Essence of Dexterity. Use your spirit form's Crushing Prison on the wolf, then finish him off and use the essence.
  • 5 of 13: Go back through the mouse hole and enter the arcane horror's room. Quicksave, then use its southern mouse hole to get to an ogre's room. Switch to spirit form and hit the ogre with Crushing Prison. If he resists it, quickrestore and try again.
  • 6 of 13: Switch to golem form and beat the ogre to death, plus any abominations that come into the room. Exit the room and go down the hall to the next room's doorway, then way for an abomination or two to come to you.
  • 7 of 13: Switch to burning man form and enter the abominations' room, then use its mouse hole to enter the next room. Switch to golem form and quickly use Quake and Hurl to finish those abominations off.
  • 8 of 13: Switch to spirit form so you can use the room's spirit door, then stay in that form as you fight the abominations in the room the door takes you to.
  • 9 of 13: Use your golem form's Quake and Hurl to bash the abominations in the next room, then use the mouse hole to reach the room past that. Sneak up to the shambling corpse, then switch to golem form and use Quake and Hurl on it and the arcane horror.
  • 10 of 13: Switch to burning man form and use the Fade portal to get taken to a fiery room. Open its north door and use fireballs against the enemies ahead while staying in the fiery room.
  • 11 of 13: Exit the fiery room and switch to spirit form. Open the next door and immediately use Crushing Prison on the arcane horror in the room beyond to make the battle easy.
  • 12 of 13: In the fourth room, turn into a mouse so you can follow Vereveel into the mouse hole, but quicksave right before you do.
  • 13 of 13: Turn into spirit form as soon as you exit the mouse hole so you can hit Vereveel with Crushing Prison. There's a good chance that she'll resist it, so quickrestore and try again until you succeed. When you do, turn into a golem and start pounding on her.
