Dragon Age: Origins Hints

How far can I get on the treaty quests without having to finish them?

  • 1 of 5: There's nothing more you can do on the mage treaty quests without getting entrapped into finishing them.
  • 2 of 5: The Redcliffe treaty quest tasks come in three groups: village, castle, and Urn of Sacred Ashes. You can go take a break after finishing each group, and at various points during the castle and urn groups. After you finish them all, you can refrain from returning to the castle and talking to Bann Teagan for as long as you like.
  • 3 of 5: IMPORTANT NOTE: Finishing the village and castle quest tasks will technically count as finishing a treaty quest, even though you really haven't yet. That means Lothering will be destroyed, so pay it one last visit while you still can.
  • 4 of 5: In the Brecilian forest, you can do the quest task that gets you past the east forest area's magical barrier, then explore and loot the elven ruins' upper and lower levels. You can also explore the werewolf lair as long as you don't enter the Lady of the Forest's room.
  • 5 of 5: In Orzammar, you can do quests until you finish the Dead Trenches area, then go back without entering the Anvil of the Void area.
