Dragon Age: Origins Hints

East Tunnel Tips

  • 1 of 8: Move along the starting tunnel until you see a deep stalker up ahead.
  • 2 of 8: Hit it with some ranged attacks to get it to flee, but don't chase it too closely. Get control of your party and force them to move down the tunnel slowly until you reach a large cave.
  • 3 of 8: The cave has a stalker ambush set up in it, so hang back and lure in as many stalkers as you can before triggering the ambush.
  • 4 of 8: Loot the cave's small bloody sack to get a head in a bag (and a codex entry), then check the short east tunnel for a locked chest and a fractured stone.
  • 5 of 8: As you move down the south tunnel, deep stalkers will appear both in front of you and behind. Quickly turn around and thrash the ones behind you, then take care of the others.
  • 6 of 8: Move into the next big cave slowly, then retreat a ways when a bunch of stalkers appear.
  • 7 of 8: Check the SE part of the cave for a fractured stone and a codex-giving runestone, then move down the west tunnel to get back to the roads.
  • 8 of 8: Park your characters a ways back in the tunnel, then use the Lead-Them-Off Strategy to lure in the bronto and darkspawn that are on the road just past the tunnel. After they're down, repeat that strategy with the darkspawn in the ballista-fortified area to the south.
