Dragon Age: Origins Hints

Dragon Scale Armor

  • 1 of 7: To get this quest, you'll have to kill and loot the high dragon while doing the Urn of Sacred Ashes part of Redcliffe Treaty Quests -- or sometime later, if you can't handle the high dragon right away.
  • 2 of 7: NOTE: This entire quest is all stuck in under the one objective of "Find a use for the dragon scale," so these hints won't have an objective list.
  • 3 of 7: Before you can get dragon scale armor made, you'll have to finish the "Drake Scale Armor" quest.
  • 4 of 7: After you do, talk to Herren to get your armor options.
  • 5 of 7: You can choose medium, heavy, or massive armor. The only differences in them are how protective and fatiguing they are, and how high a Strength requirement they have -- the magic bonuses are the same on all three sets.
  • 6 of 7: Fortunately, it'll be done quickly, without you having to leave and return.
  • 7 of 7: NOTE: If you chose to pay Master Wade for one or both sets of drake scale armor, the dragon scale armor you get will be superior quality, with twice the fire resistance plus some stamina bonuses.
