Dragon Age: Origins Hints
The Harrowing
of 11: After you're sent into the Fade, you'll get an autosave and this quest. (NOTE: This entire quest is all stuck in under the one objective of "Survive the Harrowing," so these hints won't have an objective list.)
of 11: Loot the nearby "vase of healing" to get three shimmering orbs of light, which act like health poultices in this region, then right-click on the disturbing statue to get a codex entry.
of 11: Start down the path, ready to fight your first wisp wraith. You have no conventional weapons, so you'll have to rely entirely on spells for now. The Arcane Bolt and Flame Blast spells that start out on your quickbar are good ones to use.
of 11: Wisp wraiths are thankfully very wimpy, so you should have no problem with this one. After it's killed, wait for your health and mana to fully regenerate, then move along the twisting pathway, toasting more wisp wraiths as you encounter them.
of 11: After you meet an odd character named Mouse, you'll come to a large open area with a lyrium vein that you can examine for a codex entry.
of 11: Keep moving on and zapping wisp wraiths until you come to another large area. Kill its local wisp wraith, then check along the north side of the area for a "vase of healing" and a twisted structure before going to its south side to meet the Spirit of Valor.
of 11: Once you have Valor's iron staff, equip it and start up the path that leads NW, ready to kill some spirit wolves that appear. (Note that spells are the best way to deal with them, though your new staff can help finish off a nearly-dead wolf.)
of 11: At the end of the path, you'll meet a sloth demon. It's not immediately hostile, so talk to it to see what's going on with it.
of 11: After Mouse joins your party as a bear, head back to the Spirit of Valor's area, ready to thrash a spirit wolf ambush that happens as you approach.
of 11: Move on past that area to the fiery one to meet up with the Spirit of Rage. After you talk to it, you'll have to fight it and the wisp wraiths that it summons up.
