Dragon Age II Hints
Optional Area Tips
of 8: The hallway past the door is full of undead and flame traps, so park your party at a spot a bit north or south of the door before you open it.
of 8: Have one character lure out all the abominations, then send your rogue in to detect and disarm the first two rows of trap triggers.
of 8: Run her back out and send in your best warrior to kill off the two nearest skeleton archers.
of 8: Bring everyone else in, then have your rogue quickly find and disarm the last two rows of trap triggers. As soon as that's done, get everyone to start attacking the arcane horror.
of 8: After that's over, open the nearby north-side door to find a small room with two chests in it, one of which is locked.
of 8: Go through the door at the west end of the hallway to enter a small courtyard where two pride demons will appear and attack.
of 8: Focus everyone on one of the pride demons until it falls, then go after the other one. Be sure to watch for the swirly white vortices and move everyone out of them as soon as they start forming. (Also note that a bunch of shades will show up at some point, but they're low-priority targets.)
of 8: After the battle is over, loot the corpse and bones in the courtyard, then go back down the hallway and check the offices of Meredith and Orsino to find one locked chest in each.
