Go to the Hanged Man at night to look for the guards who allowed the ....
1 of 5: First, go to the Docks region during the day and tell the Arishok in the qunari compound that his delegate is missing. That'll increase his respect for you, which will be handy near the end of the act.
2 of 5: Travel to the Hanged Man pub on the Kirkwall Night map and look next to the bar for Orwald the Braggart.
3 of 5: If you have Aveline with you, you could let her take over the questioning to get the info you need without a fight.
4 of 5: If you question Orwald yourself, he'll attack you, and so will some of the bar patrons. (Note that if you have Aveline, Varric, or Isabela with you, fewer patrons will join the fight.)
5 of 5: After the combat is over, Orwald will tell you about the templars being involved.
