Dragon Age II Hints
Follow the trail of blood.
1 of 11: Look nearby to see the first big splotch of blood, then look east of it to find the next one.
2 of 11: Follow the blood splotches through the bazaar and then south to the Foundry District.
3 of 11: They'll lead you up some stairs and through the door to the Dark Foundry area. (Note that its door may be non-interactive unless you literally followed the blood trail along from splotch to splotch.)
4 of 11: Inside, go east to a large room, then follow the blood up the stairs and down the narrow walkway that goes north.
5 of 11: Go through the first doorway you come to, then go over to the not-so-hidden trapdoor. Use it to enter the killer's lair after you search the other upstairs areas for a chest, a barrel, and a crate to loot.
6 of 11: Go down the steps that are just ahead to start a combat with a rage demon and several shades. After the second wave of shades is put down, you'll get a brief cut-scene.
7 of 11: Look nearby for a chest and a codex-updating note, then look on the north side of the room for a pile of bones. In the area west of that is some orichalcum, a codex-giving scribbled note, and some lootable rubble. There's also a brief cut-scene where you find your mother's locket.
8 of 11: Go west to the next room, then park your party at the top of the stairs and send one character down to trigger the appearance of a bunch of corpses, ghouls, and abominations. Lure them all up to you to prevent being surrounded.
9 of 11: After another cut-scene, search the room to find two chests (one locked), a lootable crate, and two codex items. Head south to find another chest followed by the final room, where you'll meet up with the insane killer. After a brief conversation, he'll summon two corpses and a shade to fight you. (Note that he'll be unattackable at first.)
10 of 11: After you put them down, he'll summon up a desire demon named Possession of Ninette, plus a bunch of assorted undead creatures. As usual, the desire demon is your first target, since she can heal the undead.
11 of 11: Following that will be two more waves of enemies, each led by a special desire demon. If you manage to survive all that, Quentin will finally join the fight with a few shade allies. Focus on taking him down first, since he's a powerful blood mage.
