Combat Series Tips
1 of 12: Past the stairs, focus on the saarebas first, since he's their spellcaster.
2 of 12: Once he's down, run everyone about halfway down the stairs and make the rest of the qunari chase you.
3 of 12: Watch for a few of the last qunari to appear at the bottom of the stairs. You don't want them surprising you while you're busy with other hostiles.
4 of 12: After that combat is over, go back up the stairs and look for a corpse and a barrel to loot before heading north.
5 of 12: Past some more stairs, turn left to enter the Residential District, where some Grey Wardens are fighting qunari.
6 of 12: As soon as you enter the area, turn left and run up the stairs that lead to Gamlen's house. There's a saarebas and a spear-throwing ashaad up there.
7 of 12: Try to kill the saarebas before he can teleport. If he gets away, finish off the ashaad, then go after the saarebas again.
8 of 12: After most of those qunari are dead, a few more will rush in from the east and south. Finish them off, then look around for two corpses and a barrel, plus another corpse and two crates to the south.
9 of 12: You could go straight to the bazaar next, but if you continue to the south, you'll find another corpse and a barrel, followed by a combat with a bunch of looters in the Foundry district. Look around the area to also find a corpse next to some burning debris.
10 of 12: Enter the bazaar and loot the two barrels in its east section before going up the stairs to find a few qunari (including a powerful commander called a "sten") being aided by elven supporters.
11 of 12: Finish off the weaker opponents first, then focus everyone's attacks on the sten while watching for a few reinforcements to arrive from the east.
12 of 12: Before you leave, look around the west section of the bazaar for two crates, a locked chest, and a barrel.
