Combat Tips

  • 1 of 7: Quickly run over to the two corpses you can see ahead you and loot them for some nice items that you may want to equip on someone right away.
  • 2 of 7: Next, run your entire party up onto one of the two side balconies that the ashaad are on.
  • 3 of 7: Unfortunately, you'll run into quite a few opponents on the stairs, and trying to run everyone past them may be difficult. (There's also some painful traps there.)
  • 4 of 7: Focus everyone's attacks on one opponent at a time on the stairs to eliminate some of them, then continue your run to one of the balconies.
  • 5 of 7: Or instead of that, run everyone into the NW or SW corner of the entry room. Get them to hold position there and attack any qunari that come after you.
  • 6 of 7: There is a saarebas in the fight, but going after it will probably be more trouble than it's worth before you eliminate most of the other qunari. However, watch for it to appear near you, and take the opportunity to attack it if it does.
  • 7 of 7: When the sten shows up, rid yourself of any other remaining qunari before ganging up on him.
