Meredith Combat Tips
1 of 11: At first, Meredith will be the only hostile in the area. Get your warrior(s) on her quickly so she won't go after any of your weaker characters while they attack her from range.
2 of 11: After you do her a significant chunk of damage, she'll jump away and animate a huge, clunking "gate guardian" statue. It can really whack melee fighters, so you might want to set everyone to using ranged attacks and make sure they stay out of the statue's melee range.
3 of 11: Fortunately, a concentrated assault from everyone will quickly wear down the statue's health. After it falls over, Meredith will reappear in the center of the courtyard, and you'll be back to hacking on her.
4 of 11: Watch out for her suddenly zooming away from your warriors and going after a rogue or mage. When that happens, you'll want to go to his aid and/or get him away from there quickly.
5 of 11: When you inflict another decent chunk of damage on Meredith, she'll leap away and animate another gate guardian statue. This one will have a bit more health, and there'll also be some smaller "slave" statues joining the fight.
6 of 11: The slave statues are very slow to show up and start becoming a problem, so focus everyone on the gate guardian as soon as it appears and try to take it down quickly.
7 of 11: As soon as the guardian is down, run after the slave statues and finish off as many of them as you can before Meredith reappears in the center of the area. When she does, it's a good idea to get everyone after her and do your best to dodge the remaining statues.
8 of 11: Watch out for her new energy burst attack. Try to keep ranged characters out of its sphere of influence, since it has a powerful knockback effect.
9 of 11: When her health gets really low, she'll reanimate the two fallen gate guardian statues as smaller, hoppier guardian statues. The main problem is that they'll be there both at once, along with the never-ending stream of slave statues.
10 of 11: Meredith will reappear at some point, usually after you beat one of the gate guardian statues. Quickly finish off the other guardian, then focus on Meredith.
11 of 11: She'll occasionally dizzify everyone with an energy blast and then stand and blabber nonsense at the sky while you regain some health and stamina. That should keep you alive long enough to finish her off.
