West Branch Tips

  • 1 of 7: Kill off a few more Tal-Vashoth near a path split, then go west to get an elfroot before taking the north branch.
  • 2 of 7: After fighting some Tal-Vashoth that attack from a small side area, check the side area for a pile of bones to loot.
  • 3 of 7: At the next path split, go north to find a corpse and a map exit, then go back and take the east branch.
  • 4 of 7: Thrash the next Tal-Vashoth group you find, then look for a barrel next to a campfire, plus a corpse to the north.
  • 5 of 7: The next Tal-Vashoth group will probably see you as you go for the corpse, so go kill them off. (Note that this group includes a tougher Tal-Vashoth officer.)
  • 6 of 7: Loot the locked chest and read the codex item in their camp, then go through some foliage near the chest to find a pile of bones.
  • 7 of 7: Head east to a cave entrance that's non-interactive unless you have the "Blackpowder Promise" main plot quest, then go through some foliage near it to find a chest.
