Misc. Tips
1 of 3: Get in the habit of pressing and briefly holding the "Highlight usable objects" key (TAB on the PC) on frequent occasions, especially if you suspect there's an NPC, monster, door, or treasure container in an area that's hard to see in. Anything you can interact with will be highlighted as long as the "Highlight usable objects" key is pressed. (In order to see farther ahead, rotate the camera down a ways.)
2 of 3: Whenever you come across traps or locked items, select your rogue character and have him deal with them. Try to disarm all the traps and open all the locks you come across to get more loot and XP.
3 of 3: There's no penalty for stealing in this game, like there is in some other recent RPGs. You can raid openable containers in someone's house right in front of them without worrying about being attacked or reported to the guards.
