Dragon Age II Hints
West Branch Tips
1 of 8: Go to the west end of the path to find a locked chest, but watch out for a couple of raider assassins who'll appear behind you.
2 of 8: Kill them and raid the chest, then head back down the path to the east to find several more raiders.
3 of 8: After you get them all, go back to the west branch area and take the path that goes north.
4 of 8: Loot the bones you come to for a rune design, then move on to find a side area on your left with a barrel in it.
5 of 8: At the next path split, go north to find some raiders, a corpse, and a map exit, then go back and take the east branch.
6 of 8: Keep going until you find a guy named Magus Tavarin Hall who runs a store called "Magnus's Wares."
7 of 8: Check his store for expensive mage gear, then head east to a non-interactive cave entrance with a special harlot's blush flower near it. (It's needed for the "Herbalist's Tasks" secondary quest.)
8 of 8: Go through the nearby foliage to find a crate.
