Dragon Age II Hints

Abandoned Slaver Den

  • 1 of 13: When you enter the den, you'll need to choose which two companions you want besides Fenris.
  • 2 of 13: Go east at the path split and through a door to find a room with a blood sacrifice on a table.
  • 3 of 13: Examine the sacrifice if you want, then go through two more doors to enter a slaver-guarded hallway. As you fight them, a bunch of corpses will rise up all along the hallway.
  • 4 of 13: At the east end of the hallway are two floor plates that trigger sustained traps. You can't disarm them, and they're really not very useful in combat, so just ignore them.
  • 5 of 13: The next room has a two-wave slaver combat that includes a mage in the second wave.
  • 6 of 13: The following room has another two-wave slaver combat (no mage this time), followed by a conversation with a terrified elf servant. You can choose to give her some money or send her to your estate as a servant. (If you send her to your estate, mention that you're going to pay her to avoid getting rivalry points with Fenris.)
  • 7 of 13: Loot the two chests in the room to find a companion gift item, then go through its west door.
  • 8 of 13: Past another door is a room with two chests (one locked) and some more slavers to fight. Watch out for a slaver mage coming through the north door and joining the fight.
  • 9 of 13: Loot the chests to get an armor upgrade for Fenris, then go north and along the corridor until you reach the door to Hadriana's room.
  • 10 of 13: Have everyone hold position just outside the room, then send one character in far enough to lure in the slavers who are guarding Hadriana. She'll turn hostile before you can kill off the slavers, but hopefully she won't move into position to attack you until you're ready for her.
  • 11 of 13: Unfortunately, she'll be able to summon various reinforcements, including slavers and shades, before she goes down.
  • 12 of 13: Finish all of them off to get a conversation cut-scene. The best choice for friendship points is to tell Fenris that Hadriana's fate is up to him, then say that you can still find his sister.
  • 13 of 13: He'll leave after the cut-scene is over, and you can leave using the nearby map exit door.
