Dragon Age II Hints
What should I say to Torpor?
1 of 6: You could tell him you don't work with demons as soon as the conversation starts. That'll immediately start a combat with him and two shades. (Note that Anders will like this, but Merrill won't.)
2 of 6: If you instead tell the demon that you're listening, you can then ask him what he's offering.
3 of 6: Note that if Anders is in your party, you'll have to tell him to back off if you want to continue making a deal. That will cause him to attack you, and you'll have to "kill" him, which will expel him from the Fade. He won't really die, but he won't be around for the rest of this quest, either.
4 of 6: If you don't have Anders with you (or are willing to lose him for now), you can ask the demon for a reward of power, knowledge, or magic in exchange for helping it possess Feynriel.
5 of 6: The power choice will get you six attribute points, the knowledge choice will get you one ability point, and the magic choice will get you two armor runes that add to magic resistance.
6 of 6: Note that making a deal now doesn't require you to help Torpor possess Feynriel. When the time comes, you can choose to not let Torpor do it.
