Dragon Age II Hints
A Murder of Crows
1 of 11: Go to Hightown's Red Lantern District during the day and talk to Nuncio to get this quest. (Note that if you imported a Dragon Age: Origins save while creating your character, you won't be able to get this quest if Zevran was killed instead of recruited.)
2 of 11: Go to the Dalish camp on Sundermount and tell Variel that you're there for the Antivan.
3 of 11: Go down the left (west) of the two paths that start in the camp's NW corner, watching for some darkspawn and spiders to kill on your way to the mountain cave entrance if you haven't previously explored this area.
4 of 11: Inside the cave, go down the steps and over to the base of the broken wooden structure to find some lootable bones. There's also a doorway that leads to a side area with a corpse and a locked chest at its other end.
5 of 11: Just past the stairs that lead to the lower floor are a pile of bones with a companion armor upgrade on them, plus two traps and a giant spider ambush. Try to get your rogue to disarm the traps before the spiders attack.
6 of 11: Past the doorway, have everyone hold position while you send your rogue down the stone steps to disarm the traps that are past the corpses. Note that the three large white squares can't be disarmed, so maneuver each character past them individually.
7 of 11: Check the two interactive corpses to see if there's anything on them, then go down the stairs and turn right to find a pile of bones with a duplicate Sylvanwood Ring on them. (You could've already gotten one from the thieves who attacked you when you first traveled to Sundermount.)
8 of 11: When you move into a large cave room with piles of treasure at its north end, a varterral will appear and attack you. Have all of your ranged fighters keep their distance from it while your melee fighter(s) keep it occupied.
9 of 11: After it dies, the Antivan assassin (Zevran from the first Dragon Age game) will show up and talk to you. You can insist on delivering him to Nuncio, but that's a bad choice since you won't get his help during a certain combat later on.
10 of 11: Loot the varterral's body and piles of treasure, then use the nearby map exit to travel to the new Antivan Camp region on the Free Marches map. After a brief conversation in which Zevran will show up if you let him go earlier, Nuncio and his men will attack.
11 of 11: After it's over, talk to Zevran to finish the quest and get a magic dagger as a reward if you didn't deliver him to Nuncio. Before you leave, look around the area for loot.
