Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Hints

I'm at Jiva, but the receptionist here doesn't know about my package.

  • 1 of 9: Isn't she acting a little suspiciously?
  • 2 of 9: I don't think that what you say in the first couple of conversation choices matter all that much, but after a bit, you should see a woman who appears to be trapped nearby appear on the screen behind the receptionist (or whoever she really is).
  • 3 of 9: And that woman on the screen probably has something to do with why the receptionist is acting so oddly.
  • 4 of 9: I doubt it would be a very good idea to point the screen out to the receptionist.  Choose "distract" as the conversation topic after you see the screen.
  • 5 of 9: From here, either plead or barter should convince the receptionist to go check in the closet for your package.
  • 6 of 9: And this is a good opportunity for you.
  • 7 of 9: There's a switch on the outside of the closet door.
  • 8 of 9: Press it to keep the "receptionist" trapped for a while.  It should now be safe to explore these offices more carefully.
  • 9 of 9: If you diverge from the steps in the hints too significantly -- such as picking "screen" as a topic -- the "receptionist" will try to call for help, and you'll have a fight instead.  Of course, this is a valid option, but if it's not what you intended, then try what's described in these hints again.
