How do I match symbols to unlock the door?

  • 1 of 5: This is a timed puzzle -- and one that has a different random solution each time you play through it, with a different set of symbols.  So there's no way that I can give you an exact solution that will work for you every time.  But there's no penalty for losing, so you can try as often as you need.
  • 2 of 5: You should see a grid of symbols in the middle of the puzzle, and then a series of symbols on a line immediately below the grid.  All you need to do is to match the symbols on the bottom line one at a time with the symbols in the grid.  One symbol (moving left to right) will be highlighted on the bottom row -- use the controls to move along the main grid, and click as soon as you find the matching symbol.
  • 3 of 5: If you're successful, some sort of lightning arc will connect the symbols you just matched, and the next symbol in the row will be highlighted.  Repeat until all the symbols are matched.
  • 4 of 5: This is a timed puzzle, but it doesn't go by all that quickly, so don't feel the need to rush.  You have until all the white lights on the top of the puzzle turn off, before you "lose" and you're forced to start again.  It's possible that if you take too long on one symbol, a previously matched symbol will "unmatch" and you'll have to go back and do it again -- but this didn't happen to me very often.
  • 5 of 5: And you may notice that the symbols in the grid do move around a little bit as time moves on.  But don't let this distract you -- the symbols on the bottom that you're actually trying to match won't change while you're trying to solve one puzzle.
