Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Hints
I'm at a big water wheel. How do I proceed from here?
1 of 10: Zoë thinks that the water wheel is the key to continuing. And she's right.
2 of 10: You just need to find a way of powering it.
3 of 10: Well, the obvious answer might be that a water wheel is powered by water, but the question is figuring out where the water will come from.
4 of 10: There's a machine to the right of the wheel. Take a look at that.
5 of 10: You could try to turn the small wheel on the machine, but not much would happen.
6 of 10: There seems to be some sort of socket at the top of the machine, and that socket is currently empty.
7 of 10: You may have found something that would go in that socket elsewhere in the caves.
8 of 10: There was a glowing egg on a stick back near where you saw the second creature -- at the bottom of the path that took you to the water wheel.
9 of 10: Take the glowing egg off the stick -- if necessary, avoiding the creature nearby -- and use it on the socket. Then, when you turn the wheel, you'll cause some water to flow on top of the wheel, and the wheel will start spinning.
10 of 10: From there, it's just a matter of standing next to the wheel and using the hand icon on it. Zoë will grab the wheel and propel herself to the top.
