Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Hints

Where can I find some mulled wine?

  • 1 of 14: The wine itself is fairly easy.
  • 2 of 14: You are near an inn, after all.
  • 3 of 14: Talk to Benrime inside the Journeyman Inn and ask her about "wine".  She has the wine, but it turns out that she's out of spices.
  • 4 of 14: She's waiting for a delivery from the spice merchant in the market near the South Gate. You can get there by continuing down the street past "Blind" Bob and onto the next screen with the tower.  When you reach an intersection, turn right down the ramp -- the South Gate area is there.
  • 5 of 14: The merchant tells you that there's a "tiny problem" -- he doesn't have the spices either.
  • 6 of 14: That's because they're stuck in traffic.
  • 7 of 14: You might have even met the ornery guy named Ary Kinryn who has the delivery.
  • 8 of 14: He was the one at the front of the line back on the street with the inn.  Just head down that street as far as you can, past the inn, and he'll be right there with his cart.
  • 9 of 14: Talk to him for a bit, and he'll eventually relent on the spices.
  • 10 of 14: Once you have the spices, it's really up to you.  You can either take them to the merchant as you promised, and he in turn will give you Benrime's share for delivery, or you can just skip the middleman and take the whole delivery straight to the inn.  With all these messenger-type puzzles already creating enough walking, I personally vote to just go straight to the inn.
  • 11 of 14: When you talk to Benrime, she'll tell you that there's some boiling wine in the kitchen.
  • 12 of 14: Go there, and sure, enough, you'll see a caldron on the counter.  As well as an empty wine bottle on the back counter.
  • 13 of 14: You have all the pieces you need to make a bottle of mulled wine here.
  • 14 of 14: Use the spices on the caldron, and then use the bottle on the caldron to fill it.  This will give you the bottle of mulled wine that Blind Bob was looking for.
