Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Hints
How do I get the boy to create a distraction?
1 of 6: He doesn't seem very talkative when you first meet him, does he?
2 of 6: That's probably because you need to show him you're friendly.
3 of 6: You probably already have something a child would like by this point in the game (assuming Riko isn't here).
4 of 6: If you didn't get it, there was a vending machine next to the ticket machine that sells gum. You can still go back there via the tram if you don't already have it.
5 of 6: Give the gum to the boy, and he'll talk to you. (NOTE: In one playthrough, I gave the boy some gum before I'd even tried the door, and he never would talk. Loading a saved game -- there's even an autosave as you enter the museum -- and making sure to give him the gum after trying the door, seemed to solve the problem.)
6 of 6: You can then talk to him again to convince him to create the distraction you need.
