Dreamfall: The Longest Journey Hints
I've close to the exact coordinates I'm looking for, but my path is blocked.
1 of 15: Once you've explored the production floor, Zoë should say that she's standing directly above the source of the virus.
2 of 15: There's a door right in front of you, but there's no obvious way to open it.
3 of 15: There's also a ventilation grate very close to the source of the virus.
4 of 15: You're not going to be able to lift the grate yourself.
5 of 15: Good for you that you're in a factory. There must be some heavy equipment around here that can help.
6 of 15: First, turn on the power.
7 of 15: Head back towards where you originally entered the floor. Not too far from the grate, you should see a power switch on the wall.
8 of 15: Flip it, and the control room on the other side of the production line starts to glow.
9 of 15: Walk into the control room, and you should see several panels here.
10 of 15: The one on the right moves a hook in the ceiling. First, look at the panel for a close-up, and then use the appropriate action icons to control the hook's position. Then just walk away from the panel when you're done to exit the close-up.
11 of 15: The panel on the left lowers and raises the hook when you use it.
12 of 15: Start by moving the hook over to the grate, and lowering it. If you haven't already moved the hook, 4 presses of the up button and 3 presses of the left button on the directional control panel should get the hook in place, and then you can use the panel on the right to lower it.
13 of 15: You still need to attach the hook to the grate before it can help you.
14 of 15: So walk over to the corner with the grate. The appropriate action icon will let you attach the hook to the grate.
15 of 15: Finally, go back to the control room and raise the hook one more time. You can now climb down the grate into the laboratory below.
