Drowned God Hints

How do I solve it?

  • 1 of 11: Here's a description of each dial and its effect on the Rod:
  • 2 of 11: The upper left dial moves the Rod 0, 1, or 2 squares to your right (along the X axis).
  • 3 of 11: The lower left dial moves the Rod 0 to 5 squares toward you (along the Z axis).
  • 4 of 11: The upper right dial moves the Rod 0, 1, or 2 squares to your right (along the X axis) AND downward (along the Y axis).
  • 5 of 11: The lower right dial moves the Rod 0 to 5 squares toward you (along the Z axis) AND rotates it 45 to 325 degrees clockwise.  Be careful, however, as the Rod can never be set to be horizontal.  It will rather jump 45 degrees ahead.
  • 6 of 11: Too hard to visualize?  Ok, I'll give you a step-by-step method.
  • 7 of 11: Step one.  Reset all the dials to 0.  Look at the orientation of the line inside the circle.  If it's a slash ( / ), set the lower right dial to 2.  If it's a backslash ( \ ), set it to 1.  If it's straight ( | ), leave it at 0. Do NOT push the button yet.
  • 8 of 11: Step two.  Look at the rows of the upper grid.  If the dot is in the upper row, set the upper right dial to 1.  If it's in the lower row, set it to 2. If it's already in the middle, leave it at 0.  Push the button and reset the dials.
  • 9 of 11: Step three.  Look at the columns of the upper grid.  If the dot is in the leftmost column, set the upper left dial to 1.  If it's in the rightmost column, set it to 2.  If it's already in the middle, leave it to 0.  Do NOT push the button yet.
  • 10 of 11: Step four.  Look at the columns of the lower grid.  If the dot is in the leftmost column, set the lower left dial to 5.  If it's it the next one, set it to 4, etc.  Leave it at 0 if it's already in the rightmost column.  Push the button and reset the dials.
  • 11 of 11: Step five.  Now the Rod should be in place.  If the dots don't blink yet, it must be because the Rod is reversed.  Set the lower right dial to 3 and push the button.
