Drowned God Hints
How do I solve it?
of 11: First, it would be helpful to understand how the chambers work.
of 11: Maybe even SEE how they work.
of 11: Did you look in the microscope, back in the library?
of 11: It's located over the same wall as the door out. It actually shows the chambers in action.
of 11: From that, you should be able to understand a few things:
of 11: First, the chambers always do a full turn. Therefore, it doesn't matter WHEN you go through a doorway. But you already knew that.
of 11: Second, there are lots of chambers. We can deduce that the number shown in a chamber isn't unique. But you already knew that.
of 11: Third (that's the good part), the adjacent chambers rotate in opposite directions. This implies that if you wanna keep going in a specific direction, you have to alternate between the left and the right!
of 11: If you're still at the beginning of the puzzle (in a chamber 7), just go through the LEFT doorway, then the right, then the left, etc., until you reach the exit.
of 11: What? You went all by yourself and got lost somewhere without even saving your game? Good news: here's a quick trick to get back on track...
of 11: Say you're in a chamber N and don't know where to go. You can be sure that one of the two doorways you're facing leads to a nearer chamber (N-1). Just try a doorway, left or right, it doesn't matter. If it fails (you end up in N+1), just turn around, go back in the previous chamber (N) and choose the SAME doorway you just chose. It's a little strange, but it worked nicely for me.
