Drowned God Hints

How do I solve it?

  • 1 of 9: Sorry, but this is a "random" game, so there's no real clear ultimate solution.  And to make things worse, I'm especially bad with games like those...
  • 2 of 9: But I beat the computer a couple times, so you should also be able to.  I'll give you all the meager advice I have.
  • 3 of 9: The ultimate scheme is to have two parallel or perpendicular lines that share one square.  This way, just move that square back and forth and you get to clear one of your opponent's square every single turn.  Sadly, the computer seems especially good at doing it to you.
  • 4 of 9: I suspect that most games are won during the original placement (the first nine turns), so I'll emphasize on that.
  • 5 of 9: Here's what I think you should keep in mind when placing you squares:
  • 6 of 9: Rule 1:  If you can COMPLETE a line this turn, then do it.  Don't even try to do that on purpose.  But if it happen by sheer luck, go for it.  Use rules 2 & 3 to choose which square to remove.
  • 7 of 9: Rule 2:  If you can prevent the opponent from COMPLETING a line, then do it. And I mean only if there's already two other squares.  Otherwise it's not worth it.
  • 8 of 9: Rule 3:  Try to "entrap" your opponent squares.  You don't have to put two of your squares around each of his (wonder how you could anyway), but try to restrain him as much as possible.  Aim for the intersections.
  • 9 of 9: By playing this way, most of the squares on both sides will be jammed when the time comes to move.  This only make the game easier and more straightforward.  At least that's my opinion.
