Dungeon Siege Hints
Traveling
As you travel, do not follow along the center of the path. You should go from side to side, while frequently checking the overhead map (TAB key by default). By going side to side, you will find many little treasures and caves, and many monsters to kill. Having enough gold to get new characters and equipment, and enough experience to get new skills are the key ways to make your party as powerful as possible.
Going from side to side also reduces ambushes from behind, and ensures a safe area that you can use for a retreat if the attack becomes too fierce.
