Dark Side of the Moon Hints
I know what I need to do with the crystal... but it's not working.
1 of 6: If the saw refuses to cut the crystal, listen to the computerized message that results.
2 of 6: You are told that you are not wearing the correct protective gear to use the laser saw in this manner.
3 of 6: In the various vides you've seen of the Cepheids mining, they're all wearing protective goggles.
4 of 6: Seems like you should be, also.
5 of 6: You'll find an extra pair of goggles in the New Excavation area on the Center Pit Staging Area Lower Level, after the Cepheids have rebelled and left.
6 of 6: Wear the goggles, and the laser saw will cut the crystal (although it destroys itself in the process).
