Dune 2: The Building of a Dynasty Hints
Fremen
Fremen are special units for the Atreides, and are called via Palace. When you call them, roughly five squads randomly appear on the map and attack the enemy. You can't control them, however. Basically, they aren't too much better than Heavy Troopers, and usually get run over by something before causing too much damage, but since they're free they're worth using to cause minor damage. (Personally, it would have been cool if they were equipped with those wierding modules from the movie, and they'd going around yelling "CHA!" and destroying their enemies with sound waves, but that was never implemented. Darn). Anyway, when you fight against the Atreides and you find Fremen, they won't appear on the radar, so don't look for them.
