Sherlock Holmes: Silver Earring Hints

White Powders

  • 1 of 6: First, open the "Box with Powder" by using the microscope on it.
  • 2 of 6: Then put all three piles of white powder onto the tray of the microscope together.  They combine and go back into inventory -- ready for the next step.
  • 3 of 6: Holmes wants to heat the white powder, so place it on the tray of the burner.  Light the burner.  It returns to your inventory.  More to do.
  • 4 of 6: Pick it up again to hear Holmes' next instructions -- combine the powder with water.
  • 5 of 6: Evidently the powder doesn't dissolve well, because you'll also be heating it.
  • 6 of 6: Put the bowl on the pedestal.  You must heat the water before adding the powder by clicking on the burner.  The powder finally disappears from inventory, the report added to the Journal.
