Where are the ruins?
1 of 9: Before you venture into the woods, you must learn about the ruins by talking to the Brother inside the Abbey. Click on the door's window. After your conversation, take the left path to search for the ruins.
2 of 9: Try to keep your bearings each time you make a turn. There are many dead ends in these woods, and camera angle changes can get you lost easily.
3 of 9: Have you found the pond yet? It is a major landmark (one of the few you'll find) and a good place to save your game. (A map is in the last hint under this question.)
4 of 9: Walk up/left from the pond and take the first left (narrow) path and walk to the end until Holmes turns.
5 of 9: When you come to a "T" intersection, walk right. Your next intersection has 3 paths -- one goes up and the other two veer left.
6 of 9: Of the 3 paths, walk on the left middle one.
7 of 9: Your next landmark is an orange pail on the left of the screen. (Make a note of its location.)
8 of 9: Your next intersection is 4 way with paths leading in all directions.
9 of 9: Walk north (top of the screen) until Holmes says he smells smoke. Save Your Game Here and then keep walking until you see the fire, which is at the entrance of the ruins.
