Echo: Secrets of the Lost Cavern Hints

How can I make a palette?

  • 1 of 15: Think of what would normally be needed for a painting palette.  Everything you need can be found nearby.
  • 2 of 15: First, you will need to find a portable surface that you can use as a palette.
  • 3 of 15: In order to place your supplies onto the palette, you will need to find a place to put down the palette.
  • 4 of 15: Besides the palette itself, paints would be the most obvious requirement for a palette.
  • 5 of 15: Prehistoric "paints" were really just pigments resulting from natural sources.  You will need to have three different pigment colors to complete your palette.
  • 6 of 15: There is another easy-to-find pigment nearby.
  • 7 of 15: The only trouble is, the ochre pigment cannot be used for painting quite yet.
  • 8 of 15: If you try to bring the palette down to Lharik with only two colors, he will tell you that the palette isn't ready yet.
  • 9 of 15: The red pigment cannot be used for painting yet.
  • 10 of 15: Gathering all the pigments was certainly a good start -- but you're not done preparing them yet.
  • 11 of 15: Besides the paints, Arok will also need some tools to apply them.
  • 12 of 15: Arok already used a couple of tools for painting in Tika's cave dwelling.
  • 13 of 15: The first is the piece of skin (that you wet and dipped into paint earlier).  Look in your inventory for this item.
  • 14 of 15: The second is the blowpipe that you used previously.  You should still have this item in your inventory.
  • 15 of 15: You will also need a paintbrush.  But you won't find one -- you'll have to make it instead.
